Valentine’s Day Date Idea: A Romantic Evening On A Budget

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching and if you’re still wondering what to do, I have the perfect scenario for a romantic night without spending a lot of money. This won’t be a considered a cheap valentine’s day date, but if you work it right you won’t spend more than 50 bucks.

The Prep:

How it works: Decide on the dishes you want to make for your Valentine’s Day dinner. Find the recipes and make a list of ingredients. Doing this together is another way to spend time with one another.

Then go to the super market and get everything you need to prepare each dish. While you’re going up and down the aisles you can people watch and feel on each other while no one is looking! This might sound like a chore but for boyfriends and girlfriends who don’t live together this will give you a glimpse of how it is to actually live together.

Once you got everything you need, head back to the crib and start to make your meal. I think it’s better to do the shopping and cooking on the same day to make sure everything is fresh. Fellas I strongly advise you not to slack in the kitchen either! Don’t sit back and let the woman do all the cooking and vice versa ladies. I know some of y’all cannot cook. Teamwork is everything and nothing is sexier than a woman in the kitchen who smells like food.

Once It’s Done:

Set the table, then set the mood by lighting some candles, playing soft music in the background. A vase of flowers and a bottle of wine wouldn’t hurt either. Chances are one of these R&B dudes will release a Valentine’s Day Mixtape that you and your lover can vibe out to over dinner. It could even be a topic of discussion.

After Dinner:

Once you’re done eating it might be fun to have something else to do so here are 3 ideas.

  • Read A Book Together. — The girl should sit on the guy’s lap and get into the perfect cuddle position and the two of you can take turns reading aloud. Feel free to fondle each other, when you’re not reading.
  • Play A Game… For Clothes. — Nothing says love like a game of Strip Scattergories. Sure we are more familiar with strip poker, but that’s not romantic is it? Strip Scattergories, now thats what’s up!
  • Go For A Walk. But, spice it up by going for a walk in another neighborhood. You can even take a stroll through the historic part of town, or where the tourist go. While on your walk, hold hands, put your arms around each other and drip all types of PDA swagu. Make other couples look at your and wish they had a love like yours.

What are you plans for Valentine’s Day? Do you even still believe in a day for lovers or is it all just hype?
